At the top of the window there is the Menu Bar containing items used to control the application.
The icon toolbar is located just below the Menu Bar and contains shortcuts for commonly performed operations.
The large gray area is the desktop used to display graph information.
The bottom of the screen is the status bar used to display important messages while the application is running.
3.1.3.1. Contacting the Logger
To contact, click on the icon on the toolbar, or contact a JR. by clicking Communicate on the Main Menu bar and
selecting Setup / Clear Logger. If a data logger is found, the status window is displayed.
The following functions are found within the status window for the JR. data logger:
Current Status Tab
Displays current logger's settings.
Backup
Downloads data from logger memory to the computer in order to display a graph.
Cancel
Closes the status window.
Help
Displays relevant help topics.
Edit Setup Tab
Modifies configurable logger parameters.
Save
Clears all readings stored in the logger as well as changes any of the logger's configurations.
Cancel
Closes the status window.
Help
Displays relevant help topics.
Troubleshooting:
If you are unable to contact your data logger, please refer to the Troubleshooting section.
3.1.3.2. Setting Up the Logger
The Edit Setup tab consists of naming the logger.
Since the logger takes a sample every 2 minutes, there really is no set-up, except to name the logger.
By hitting Save you clear the logger's memory and assign the logger a name.
3.1.4. Backup and Save Logged Data
Now that you have contacted your JR., it's time to retrieve and view the data inside of it. In this section you will learn to:
